What is an ESL teacher?

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

The unit serves a review for me with the tenses of verb specifically, the present tense. I am interested with the activities listed here which I can apply to my students. With the use of the formulas when it comes to the pattern of forming the tenses, it would be easier for the students to memorize them rather than giving them the complete words, which I always do to my students. This unit has been interesting because it has covered a new aspect of learning. It has been useful to see how the teaching of reading and listening skills may be put forward to students. I have also found it useful to know that it again is down to the teacher to motivate and encourage students to engage with reading or listening to a piece they may not initially be interested in.
