ITTT Online Courses Video Tutorial

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

In this unit we looked at general theories about learning and development. We looked at the skills our students need from our teaching. We talked about group 5-9 years old skills and group 9-13 years old skills. We looked at likes and dislikes of different group age. 5-9 group likes to move around, draw pictures and make craft. They dislike to listen instructions and being quiet. This unit tackled the issues of speaking and writing in TEFL, and the speaking portion was particularly relevant to me. My students are almost never asked to do writing assignments, but I am still interested in how to get students to do their best on any and all types of lessons, so it was still good information. I look forward to trying the techniques to get students speaking.
