ITTT - International TEFL and TESOL Training - TEFL TESOL Courses - Overview

ITTT offers three types of courses -- online courses, a four week in-class course and a combined course. The online courses include the 60 hour and 120 hour TEFL certificate courses, the 50 hour Certificate in Teaching Business English and the 50 hour Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners. ITTT also offers a 250 hour TESOL Diploma course. ITTT has an in-class four week TEFL certification course that can be studied at one of our international locations. This intensive course covers the principals, theories and methodologies of TEFL and you are given the opportunity to teach local students thus gaining practical experience teaching English in a supervised environment. All teaching practice sessions are observed by qualified trainers who will provide you with valuable, constructive feed back after each of your lessons. We also offer a combined course which offers the main benefits of both the 120 hour online course and the in-class course. Once you complete the online course you can attend one of our training centers for one or two weeks and gain actual classroom experience by teaching local students.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit focuses on the receptive skills: reading and listening. I have learned how to help students through pre-teaching vocabulary before starting a reading or listening activity, and carefully selecting listening and reading materials (authentic texts versus non-authentic texts). The unit covers the various different ways in which people listen/read, such as scanning and skimming. After reading module 3 I found out much useful information about developmental process of course design by considering various stages of contact with clients. It was interesting to learn how to determine the needs analysis, types of syllabus we can use during the lessons and how to make difference between various levels students might have before starting the Business English Course.
