We are looking for experienced, energetic, fun, and adaptable individuals to lead our trial lessons! Trial lessons provide potential students with a first glimpse of what it looks like to learn with Nao Now. By utilizing our interactive lessons, trial mentors engage in student-chosen topics to promote educational conversation during trial classes. Trial mentors must be quick to adapt to student need and build rapport with students, maintain high energy and enthusiasm while teaching, and embody the five essential characteristics of being a Nao Now mentor.
The five characteristics are, 1) Smile and be happy. 2) Encourage students to speak as much as possible. 3) Make it sound like a party! 4) Utilize nonverbal communication. 5) Correct students in a caring way. Salary and benefits
The pay is at the rate of $26 an hour.
Trial classes are typically between 20-25 minutes long.
Please note payment is by minute.
Requirements
Trial Mentor Responsibilities:
Conducting trial lessons based on ESL teaching methodologies.
Establishing a fun and energetic classroom environment.
Maximizing students’ talk time in English through reading passages and promoting conversation.
Adjusting trial lessons to student interest and adapting to fit student need.
Analyzing students’ level placement within the Nao Now curriculum.
Writing detailed trial lesson feedback.
Communicating with the Nao Now team and sales representatives, as needed.
Mentor Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or proof of enrollment of BA program.
Experience teaching online ESL classes.
Excellent command of the English language.
Ability to teach students of all ages and from different backgrounds.
Ability to work peak trial times of 7:00-10:00PM KST
Display patience and cultural awareness.
