Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In the 11th Unit we went through such receptive skills as reading and listening. In order to accept information in different language these skills should be trained very well. We should remember that the choice of the topic we teach is very important, so a teacher should generate students interest in it. The material of the Unit provided us with a practical exercise of receptive skills training. This unit reminded me some roles of a teacher, that I sometimes forget. In future I will try to act as a prompter more. I used to ignore this role sometimes, being afraid to interrupt or confuse my students. Adding to this, I will pay more attention to my pronounciation to be a good model for my students. Also, having studied this unit I am more aware of the characteristics of the learners' level.
