We are interested in recruiting professional, qualified and experienced ESL teachers who possess the minimum of a four year undergraduate degree. TEFL certification is a definite plus. Candidates must be US citizens. Positions to start in July 2004.

Compensation and benefits include: * US$1400 per month for 22-24 teaching hours per week, * Business visa reimbursement; * Completion Bonus (one month's salary for each contract year completed); * 1 month accomodation upon arrival (if from outside country); * 1 year contract; * generous vacation time; * national holidays; and * medical coverage.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please forward your resume and recent photo to: [email protected] A brief cover letter explaining your interest in joining us and your ESL teaching philosophy is also requested. Only short listed candidates will be contacted. Ho Chi Minh City is a fun, interesting and friendly place to live and work. It is also relatively inexpensive to live here and your salary will permit you the opportunity to actually save money. Unlike a lot of places, you rarely hear teachers here complaining about their daily existence. It's very refreshing.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit was helpful. Watching how two different form of the lesson being taught is a good way to look at the difference between a good teacher and a okay teacher. Being able to speak slowly and clearly will always give the student a chance to follow you better. If you're speaking to quickly the student will get lost and lose interest. Learning each of the student names is important and introducing yourself is always helpful as well.Students think evaluation and test are stressful not knowing the teacher feels the same way because she/he needs to prepare then check the result. If the result is bad, not only them who will feel bad also the educator because low score means the students didn't absorb or understand the taught lessons. The different tests help the teacher a lot. It gives her/him idea on what to do and how to improve the teaching-learning process.
