Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This section is all about lesson plans. It offers a template for a generic lesson plan, explains that it's more important to write down ideas and a general outline that it is to have a regimented lesson plan, and offers an example of a completed lesson plan for reference. I like that the book emphasizes that it's important to be flexible and to not rely too heavily on a specifically laid out lesson plan. This sections touches on receptive skills and how important they are to a student. I found this profound. I have always been of the opinion that it is better to listen than talk. Developing listening skills is a concept that has never crossed my mind though. It seems like something people are born with. I suppose no matter the level of proficiency you are gifted with, there is always a way to improve it.
