Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I don't think I've ever truly considered the various sections or parts in teaching a new language other than vocabulary and grammar. This unit breaks it down in a way that is clear and concise. The unit also highlights the purposes in teaching these parts of a language so that we as teachers can understand the main points of each part and learn to better teach the language to our current/future students. This lesson was quite difficult for me! I have always had trouble reading things in with the phonetic alphabet and it was quite difficult for me to remember/translate sentences. The example poem with the english words that are all pronounced differently emphasized how difficult it must be to learn English for non-native speakers, especially those whose native languages do not follow any similar patterns.
