Teaching for Kaplan can be the first step toward many other career opportunities throughout the company. Kaplan teachers have gone on to mentor and train other teachers, create curriculum, and even run Kaplan centers. Many members of top Kaplan management started out in the classroom. You can expect 15 hours of classroom teaching per week from 9am to 12:15pm- Monday through Friday- and 5 hours per week of paid preperation time. There is also a possibility of afternoon hours from 1pm to 2:30pm teaching elective classes. This position has an immediate opening and the teaching hours may be extended into the fall. Salary is $20 per hour of classroom teaching. Kaplan Aspect offers limited health insurance coverage for part-time employees. We are also seeking experienced TEFL instructors available as on call substitutes for our Intensive English program.
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree and at least 2 years experience teaching group ESL classes. TEFL certification preferred.
