Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

There are many unique teaching styles that one may use in order to teach effectively. I recognized that depending on the grade level, as well as, the topic of the day the lesson plans will look extremely different. In order for a teacher to be effective they must learn to be flexible and creative. Those two themes (flexibility and creativity) seems to be overarching with the ESA method. This unit was useful for me to help discover classroom management techniques. I learned that simple things like eye contact, gestures, voice pitch and tone can be useful teaching tools. I was surprised to find out that too much eye contact can be non productive in a classroom setting. The importance of the students' culture is well noted as it may affect the teaching technique employed.
