Cankiri Karatekin University is now recruiting TEFL qualified English instructors. As we are a state university, The Higher Education Council, which approves the hiring process, will take up to two months to approve the candidate, so apply as soon as possible. We are a public University in Çankýrý Turkey. Our International Language Learning Center provides courses for students and the general public in Foreign Languages. The International Language Center occupies 2250sqm, 750sqm of which serves as the computer laboratories, classrooms, a testing center and administrative offices, and 1500sqm of which is a terrace for outdoor facilities.
We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated to teach in Turkey Those who are interested in a rewarding overseas experience and enhancing their teaching skills should apply for this unique opportunity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Native level speaker of English with a passport from English speaking countries.- Bachelor's or higher degree in any field plus a TEFL ,TESOL, CELTA or equivalent. Experienced in teaching to children is appreciated.
This position was created for foreign teachers only. Turkish citizenship, full or dual, will disqualify the candidate.
CONTRACT PERIOD:
One year, covering Spring Semester, February to May, Summer Semester a concentrated 30 day course, and Fall Semester from September to the end of December.
COMPENSATION:
Gross Salary is 6,700 Turkish Lira per month. After tax net salary is 4,800 TL (may decrease throughout the year according to the tax rate) paid monthly on the 15th of the month. 12-month paid salary. National holidays plus 20 days paid vacation.
HOUSING is provided. Our teachers live in shared apartments with one other teacher. Utilities are paid by the teacher.
FULL MEDICAL INSURANCE is provided.
FLIGHT REIMBURSEMENT for the Incoming flight. Return ticket is provided at the end of the teacher’s employment, provided the teacher completes one year.
Teachers will teach 25 hours in class. The days of the week will depend on the students programs, Evenings and Weekends are common. Class size is capped at 25.
WORKING VISA fee (annual) is 560 Lira (for 2016) at the expense of the candidate.
Contract is RENEWABLE.
