Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 2 covers the parts of speech. Although I am fairly familiar with the parts of speech, it was a good refresher course to help me review my knowledge of the parts of speech. Often times the grammatical meta-language is more difficult to learn than the language itself, although a basic knowledge of these forms can help teachers be aware of the language and the usages that might cause learners difficulty in the classroom.I had a slight understanding of active and passive voice before but this lesson really cleared it up for me. It's important to know that the sentence can be missing the agent or the \"who\" of the sentence but we would still know there is someone who is performing/involved in the sentence. The phrasal verbs were really confusing to me, but it made me do extra research to better understand, which helps me out in the long run.
