Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is about productive skills. The two productive skills are writing and speaking. Improving comunication skills: seperated into accuracy activities such s drilling, promting guided role play and fluency activities such as free role play and discussions. When teaching writing students may find it difficult if the native language uses different alphabet or writing rules (right to left).Teachers need to understand how the productive skills are developed as these skills can be misleading if the students own language and structure are completely different than English. It is also important to understand the different phases and skills to develop these skills and to encourage students to participate. Productive skills are important for proper communication and to express one self.
