Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Productive language skills consist of the learners' abilities to efficiently write and speak in a foreign language. In seems a great deal more difficult to accurately produce language forms, whether in oral or written form, than simply to understand a language. This unit takes a close look at speaking and writing skills. It covers techniques and activities that can help both the teacher and student in the English language classroom. After exploring the present tenses in Unit 4, Unit 6 discovered the usage of the past tenses of the English language, namely the past simple, the past continuous, the past perfect and the past continuous. Completing the task sheet proved to be especially useful for me this time: it challenged me to understand grammar not as a student, but a teacher, and made me think new, easily comprehensible ways to teach and practice past tenses.
