Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit was quite challenging because the vocabulary was very similar. For example: Present Perfect, Present Simple, etc. I thin that this will be challenging for most teaching and is something that might be more easily explained to students using their native language. Knowing about verb tenses is important and something that each student might benefit from a method that explains using their native language equals. This lesson we learned more about the teaching productive skills that are needed when teaching our english as a second language students. Particularly why each skill such as pronunciation, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc are important for the students success. What I am noticing is that all of these different skills play a vital role and must be balanced and taught appropriately otherwise results will not be optimal.
