Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Within this unit, modals, phrases and passive voice were covered. All three of these grammar depend on verbs, their objects (or lack there of) and the meaning they are trying to portray. For example, depending on which modal is used, the degree of certainty or level of formality can change. Similarly, depending on how words are ordered, passive voice can be used to change the focus of a sentence.Obviously some repetition from Unit 2 here, but some very useful new material, particularly with how to introduce new material into the classroom. It's particularly useful to have ideas for each of the Engage, Study and Activate phases for each type of new material - this will be particularly useful moving forward. It was good to revise the Straight Arrow/Boomerang/Patchwork lesson types as well.
