Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Going through this unit have given me some teaching ideas of teaching productive skill and why is it important for productive skills to be taught in a lesson. What possible challenge will a teacher acquire when teaching such lesson and what can be done to prevent such from happening like monitoring skills, how shall we respond to errors or mistakes made without offending but still encourage students do better. This unit was about how to teach receptive skills, reading and listening. The basic keys to teaching successful receptive skills were; to choose material that motivates the students, pre-teach any complex vocabulary, vary the material, use the material to practice different skills, use realistic comprehension tasks that aid understanding, and to incorporate activate phases that naturally lead on from the text.
