New Garden Language School, established in 1988, is looking for teachers with a positive attitude to teach kindergarten and grade school aged children. We are located in Chia-Yi, Taiwan (population ~250, 000) which is nestled in rural Taiwan in close proximity to both rural beauty and urban conviences. Chia-Yi itself is a friendly city with a wide variety of local and internation cuisine.

We provide a good working environment with a competitive salary compared to most schools. Our school conducts classes Monday to Friday leaving you a full two days to experience the beauty and culture of Taiwan. We provide your one year working visa (ARC Alien Residence Certificate) and health insurance.

A Bachelor's degree is required. TEFL or CELTA training is preferable but not necessary. Experience and a love of children is a must. We stress quality teaching.

If you feel you are qualified, please contact me via either telephone (Office: +886-05-275-1727 ask for K.K. or Mobile: +886-0958-281-579) or E-mail
( [email protected] ) to arrange an on-site interview.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, it was nice to learn how students can be introduced to a new language in a manageable way, as well as which steps I should take or which activity I should prefer as a teacher in accordance with the different subjects of lesson. Also this unit mentioned the three main ESA structures again, so I had the chance to use and progress that informations especially in the sections of encouraging vocabulary, grammar and functions. This was a very useful overview of methods for evaluation in helping students improve in areas they have difficulty and preparing them to achieve their language goals. The wide range of evaluation techniques is helpful for providing students with a specific approach to their language goals. I will use some of this information in order to adjust classes as I go, therefore creating a more effective learning environment for the students.
