Keen EFL Teachers Needed in Taiwan

A school in Taiwan is looking for keen EFL Teachers able to convey to students knowledge of the English language. Candidates must be confident, flexible, humorous teachers and must be able to work effectively as a member of a team to support student success. Teachers will also be provided with 2 hours Mandarin Classes per week. The Ideal candidate will already be familiar with the Ontario Curriculum. The class will be filled with no less than 15 students.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

**The ESL teacher will be responsible for providing daily instruction from both the Ontario curriculum and the Taiwanese curriculum.

**To create a supportive yet challenging English learning environment, employing methods such as individualized instruction and assessment for and of learning.

**Teach through meaningful, authentic, engaging and fun activities.

**Ensure that all students are proficient and confident enough to employ their English language skills in any situation.

**To be able to work effectively as a member of a team to support student success.

**Prepare and co-plan with peers regularly to implement the program.

**Collaborate with other teachers, administration, parents and students to ensure curriculum implementation.

**Teach in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

**Bachelor degree.

**Teacher certification OR TESOL certification (Additional training course might be required).

**No criminal record.

**Native English speaker (due to client requirement).

**Good attention to detail.

**Capable of using Microsoft office and touchscreen technology.

WORKING HOURS:

**Elementary: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

**Secondary: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

**The working hours including the prep time in school with the team.

**Teaching hours will be within 100 hours per month.
