Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit exemplifies the importance of correctly teaching with respect to receptive skills. It explains the equal importance of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. And further details the distinction of language comprehension as a much more complicated process than just understanding words. The student at more advanced levels must be able to predict then true meaning of the sentence, not just translate a series of words. This unit was very refreshing in regards to the rules of grammar. I feel like I have been reminded of the rules of English and its grammar. I will most likely reread this PDF even after taking this course, just to refresh my memory of the rules. This unit is important because students and teachers need to know the rules that make up the English language in order to have it taught uniformly in each school or teaching environment.
