Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Learning that lesson planning can act as an outline for the lesson can be really helpful for new teachers who may want to follow a very strict guideline. It was nice to affirm that eliciting responses from the children is one of the better ways to consider outlining a lesson plan. It was also helpful to be able to incorporate ESA into the test as it helps prepare teachers when doing actual planning with ESA in mind. This unit showed me the importance of reading and listening skills and that they both have an equal importance with writing and speaking skills. It taught me the reasons why we read and listen, and demonstrated how I can go about incorporating these skills based on the reasons we use them. I also learnt the best way in which reading and listening skills can be taught to students while making it fun and entertaining.
