Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Although many times we are not counscious about the grammar we use in certain specific moments, units like this one helped me to realized i need to work on my own grammar knowledge to become better and be able to teach my students things that can help them build better sentences and produce more accurately. I think that these grammar units could have more examples and exercises to help us identify the rules in a real context. For this unit, the video on demonstrating how to introduce this topic helped a lot. I learned how to introduce the phonetic alphabet without making students feel intimidated or confused in an interesting and simple way. I was also aware of how important pronunciation is while learning English. I learned how to teach intonation and how to explain the different meaning of a sentence if the stress is placed on a particular word.
