Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Lesson planning gives a clear focus and allows to deliver a lesson in a smooth and cosequent way. It's better to keep lesson plan simple, giving an approximate timing for the activities, goals for students and yourself as well, anticipated problems and solutions. The balance of skills should be maintained and activities shold fit together. Flexibility and adaptability are also very important. This unit looks at teaching new language to students with focuses on vocabulary, grammar and function. I learned that in order to teach a new language to students, four elements are needed; exposure, understanding meaning, understanding construction as well as practice and produce. This unit also exposed me to the different types of lesson plans and helped me understand where to use it best.
