EF English First schools in China and Indonesia have year-round start dates with large student intakes in October, enabling a wide choice of locations from the tropical, metropolis that is Jakarta to thriving industrial centres like Hefei and historical cities like Wuhan.

EF English First in Russia runs an academic year with contracts running from October to May. The majority of vacancies are in Moscow with positions elsewhere.

Candidates must have recognized teaching English as a foreign language certification, such as TEFL, which contains a minimum of 6 hours observed teaching practice (equivalent qualifications like Trinity Cert. TESOL or CELTA are also acceptable).

EFL classroom experience is also desirable, but not essential. In some cases, extensive relevant TEFL experience can be considered in lieu of formal TEFL qualifications.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The discussion of this unit was a basic introduction for a CTBE. We discussed the aims, objectives, and target group for the course as well as the terminology that may be seen throughout the course. We were also given an explanation of how the course works and what we may see in the course. Also discussed were possible prospects of TBE and how to contact a tutor on the site should we need help if the course is online. This unit organized all my previous experiences I have gained through several years teaching. Now I better understand how the culture, age, mother language, motivation and so on could be a key parameter to built a better relationship with students. To be a “good teacher” I must know several things about each of students prior to start teaching them, on the other words I have to be accepted by students first.
