Date posted:2020-12-06 | Writer: Windsor Language School | Email: [email protected]

Windsor (SPb) is a friendly, professional English school in the heart of the beautiful city of St Petersburg. Our mission: to help our students gain the skills they need to integrate into the international environment - whether their goals are work, study or play! We offer a mix of General English, ESP and Exam Preparation Courses, working closely with the St Petersburg IELTS Test Centre and State University Masters Degree Program. We are serious about what we do - but we have fun doing it!

Details of Position
Our teachers are a diverse group from around the world, including those with decades of experience and others just starting their teaching career. We learn from each other and our policy is to trust our teachers' expertise and to place them at the heart of what we do. Our students are highly motivated - mainly young adults who need English for business, travel or overseas education. They attend lessons in a variety of formats: 1-to-1, mini groups, full groups and informal groups (speaking clubs and movie club etc.).

Our methodology is a thoughtful implementation of communicative language teaching, centred on the Lexical Approach (Michael Lewis) and Distributed Practice within our own FLEXI programs. We offer weekly Continuing Professional Development training sessions to build your skills. Many of our teachers go on to work as Certified IELTS Examiners, travelling across Russia to conduct speaking test sessions. We also partner with the St Petersburg State University Masters Program in Teaching Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication. As part of the Windsor family of schools we can also offer the possibility to work in our sister schools located in Vladimir and Moscow.

We recognise that moving to live and work in a new country may be challenging, and offer new teachers assistance with the process of settling in many concrete ways, including arranging accommodation, cross-cultural communication training and Russian language lessons.
