Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, we focus on grammar and vocabulary and why they are important. They talk about how to teach both topics and give examples on classroom structures to use with students. I learned the reasons why we teach theses things and what is most important. For example, when I taught in Japan and gave new vocab I'd sometimes like to give it's origin as a kind of \"fun fact\". It's not mandatory and can take away from class time.Unit 4 was perhaps the most challenging in the course so far. I found it particularly difficult to arrange the sequences of the different practice elements utilizing the Engage and Practice method. The website references were very helpful but I would have appreciated more examples within the unit of the procedure for preparing good working lesson plans. I think this is extremely important to successful completion of the course.
