Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Challenging it is becoming increasingly apparent that the grammatical framework of the English language can be very confusing. The teacher must choose some very specific activities that are fun and stretch the learner but the material must be clear and concise otherwise a student may easily become confused about usage. I love the teaching tips and suggestions for activities in all the sections of the course. There are various schools of thought on his issue. Some theorists suggest that lesson planning is not a good idea as it creates a more fixed, teacher centered lesson. it is a true that too much planning can make lessons rather rigid and stop the teacher being flexible to the needs of the students. However, it is very difficult for the inexperienced teachers to be able to be as flexible as this would require.
