TEFL in Chachapoyas, Peru

I have searched for ways to bring across this topic whenever I teach it and quite frankly, this unit has brought to me a variety of ideas of how to effectively bring this topic to life in the classroom. This is definitely one of the areas my students struggle. However, I'm now reassured that with all I've learned from this unit on Tenses, I am better able and equipped to help my students overcome this leg of language acquisition.In this unit, I learnt about how to go about selecting course material and the advantages and disadvantages between authentic and non-authentic material. I also learnt what factors to look for when selecting a course book and that it is not ideal to use the complete course book as it may not be relevant or interesting. Instead, teachers should adapt the course book to the students needs and not use the book for the entire lesson.
