Position Teaching TEFL in Peru

In this unit we went over the techniques for introducing the students to the language. We revised the ESA approach, and they teached us specifics on how to Engage, Study and Activate. This is important for aspiring teachers even thou they follow a book or a lesson to teach, most of the times the books only cover certain aspects and it´s up to each of the teachers to add interesting ways to teach the class.I never thought that the way the classroom is arranged as being important. Basically, all classrooms I have taught in were in a horseshoe arrangement and I always thought it was just because of space availability. Setting the classroom up in a specific way can improve the atmosphere for the students. Apart from classroom arrangement, this unit gave me more tips and information to fine-tune my teaching skills.
