Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is about the use of course books and materials. This is important because every course will have different goals and needs. It is important to evaluate the course books that we want to use for a class and decide how much material needs to be added on to what is already provided by the course book and its supplementary materials. Evaluating this will help keep our lessons oriented towards the students. This unit goes over the differences in meaning that occur when using modal auxiliary verbs. It also describes the difference between the active and passive voice in various tenses. Finally, it teaches the distinction between independent, dependent, and relative clauses, as well as the different types of phrasal verbs. The unit stresses the importance of delving into the intricacies of the many rules of grammar.
