Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit went into great detail about creating a positive, creative and open atmosphere for students within a class of 5-25 people, and all of this information was very useful! however, I felt i would have loved to have learnt more about managing small classes of 2-3 people. often we are doing private solo lessons also, so i think that some more focus on this would be really beneficial. This unit discusses how to teach the two receptive skills, listening and reading. They are both equally important, and equally important to the productive skills as well. There are different types of receptive skills, including prediction, skimming, scanning, deduction, and detailed reading. It is important to not only check these comprehension skills but promote them through class work.
