Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Teaching pronunciation is one of the aspects of English language teaching that I enjoy. This also proved to be one of the skills that language learners find the most challenging. All the teaching techniques provided in this unit are very useful in order to have an effective pronunciation lesson. The phonetic symbols might be difficult to remember but studying them can be an advantage in English language lessons. The lesson was very insightful about the range of tools available, but also about choosing the appropriate ones based on students, classrooms, educational goals and teacher training. As in any classroom, using technology for technology's sake is never the best idea. Technology should be integrated into lesson plans (and there should always be a backup should the technology fail) rather than the other way around.
