Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covers teaching on receptive skills, and the part that refreshed my knowledge is on how to choose a proper topic to fit students' interest. Before I always chose my liking instead of students', so I realized that I didn't focus on their favorites and later on it could hinder their learning progress. In addition, patchwork ESA should be applied in lesson on receptive skills.I learned about several types of learning methods, but what interested me the most are the methods/suggestions to engage students in the lesson. For example, by asking them a simple questions of what food they like, what is their favorite sport, or what did they do this weekend? Students might think and speak in English without them noticing that this is actually a part of the class.
