Maximo Nivel is a leading ESL institute in Latin America. We are currently looking for great EFL teachers to join our teaching teams in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru. Teachers must be TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certified. We are well known for our "Native English Program," our professionalism, and our dedication to excellent teaching and great client service. Our EFL teachers teach 30 contact hours per week, Monday - Friday. Class size is strictly limited to 12 learners. Most teachers will teach a range of levels from Basic to Advanced. The majority of our learners are young adults (18-30 years old). Come join us!

SALARY & COMPENSATION

We provide competitive, fixed base salaries in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru; Additional pay can be earned by teaching extra classes and earning our "Rock Star" raise (based on performance).

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Native level English speaker

- Bachelors Degree

- TEFL, CELTA, or other TESOL certification

- Minimum 21 years old

- Minimum 6 month work agreement

- Personal Qualities: dedicated, professional, and passionate about teaching; strong work ethic; self-confident with a good sense of humor.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

 

In this Unit we have covered speaking and writing activities and their characteristics. Main attention should be centered on accuracy and fluency. How to prepare students for creative speaking ( to awake interest in students, to set up the aim and quide them, to monitor without interaption etc), how to encourage interaction (creating the need and desire to achieve motivation to speak.Placement tests are taken prior to the beginning of a course to determine which section into which a student should be put. Diagnostic tests are taken at the start of a class to determine the standing of the students in the course. Progress tests are taken regularly throughout the course for evaluation and to see where the material should be adjusted to fit the student’s needs.
