Hello Teachers

One World American Language Institute is currently hiring experienced, enthusiastic teachers to begin January 2. You must love children and love working with a team of teachers to help create and adapt curriculum.

One World is a new school (one year old this October) located in Mok Dong, Seoul. Most of our students are elementary children, but we do have a few middle and high school kids.

We employ 20 teachers; a mixture of native English speakers, Kyopos (Korean-American or Korean-Canadian), and Korean teachers. Since we are an American Language institute (affiliated with San Diego State University's American Language Institute), we are looking for teachers with North American accents only. We are currently seeking non-Kyopo native speaking teachers.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this Unit I learned how a teacher's attitude and teaching style can affect a the learning experience. I watched two videos depicting bad and good styles that contrasted the teacher's attitude towards the students, the student's attitude towards the teacher, student participation, the teacher's voice, the teacher's instructions and explanations, monitoring of the students, engagement of the students, study stage, and activate stage. In this unit, different ways of evaluating students were discussed. These different variations of examinations are vey helpful in evaluating and knowing the language level and progress of students before, during and after the course. These examinations are also means of internal communication between the teacher and the students inside the classroom, therefore; a teacher can be evaluated depending on the results of the students' tests.
