Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit we look at two productive skills speaking and writing. We learn the difference between accuracy and fluency and the ESA stages they are normally associated with. There was several examples of in classroom speaking activities focusing on improving accuracy and fluency. This unit also covers several reasons why students might not speak and was to encourage students to speak in class. This unit covers hints and tips for teaching new language. It includes samples lessons of all three types:engage-study-activate, patchwork, and boomerang. The topics covered include: presenting new grammatical structures, presenting new vocabulary, and teaching language functions. It also lays the groundwork for the forthcoming units that are more focused on teaching methods and best practices.
