Our school is located in Takasaki(Gunma prefecture), fifty minutes by train (Shinkansen) from Tokyo. We are a small friendly school teaching both children and adults. We are looking for a full-time EFL teacher who is able to obtain a working holiday visa for one year. We offer a salary of 200,000 yen per month plus free accommodation with a Japanese family. This position would suit a teacher who is interested in Japanese culture.

The ideal applicant would be a female native speaker of English with a university degree, TEFL, TESOL or CELTA, with some young learners teaching experience.

Please send your resume with a photo to Kimihiko SATO at the e-mail address given on the job heading.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I too, like most teachers, have had a love hate relationship with course books. While I can them useful as tools of inspiration or simple a guideline, I found them restrictive when I am forced to adhere completely to them. This unit helped to view course books differently. Admittedly I may not have given course books enough respect, however, having completed this unit I view them in a different light. This unit was very helpful as a refresher, and reinforcer. I often get questions from students about the parts of speech. Though I know them for the most part, it is always helpful to be able to back my responses with hard facts and examples, as opposed to just saying,\" this is a (blank), because it is.\" With this unit, I can better assist myself, the students, and the head teacher in the classroom.
