Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit tells us about the receptive skills (listening and reading). These skills help the students to get more familiar with the language. They get to know about the terms, how they focus on a thing purposely and for enjoyment. This unit helps learners building their listening and reading skills. Pre-teaching is a great solution to prevent problems which can occur during the lesson.Much like the present tense unit, this was a nice refresher in how tenses work. This helps me realize how to break them down when teaching but also how difficult topics such as irregular verbs in the past simple can be to learn. To me, it's like second nature, so I need to be able to think of a way to help students learn irregular verbs effectively without over complicating the lesson.
