Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit helped me to learn about the different forms of past tense. I have learned that the several forms used are to basically talk about something that started and finished at a definite time in the past. I personally think the negative sentences in the past tense are the most simple ones I can easily use and explain. In addition, irregular and regular verbs are not too difficult to differentiate as well.I learned in this unit(teaching pronunciation and phonology) about stress, rhythm and intonation( Rise/Fall, Fall/Rise and flat intonation patterns). I had also techniques for indicating and teaching intonation(nonsense words, by gesture, humming or singing and the board), techniques for indicating and teaching stress, sound joining, articulation(the speech organs, place of articulation), phonemic symbos etc.
