The Horner School of English require a TEFL teacher with teaching experience. Hours of work are normally 09.00 to 13.10 and/or 14.00 to 17.10 Monday to Friday. Immediate vacancies available.
We are a busy English Language School located in Dublin City Centre (D2) close to all bus, train, LUAS and Dart services.
The position ideally requires a proficient level of English, native English speaker would be preferred. You must have a university degree level education equal to a minimum of a Level 7 qualification (Bachelor degree).
You must have a recognised TEFL Certificate and be an experienced teacher i.e. at least 3 years EFL teaching experience.
You must be a good communicator, friendly and genuinely interested in people.

This unit has opened my eyes into how best to motivate students in my class. I have learnt that it is extremely important to have good topics to learn and also how to keep students interested in the subjects by teaching with patience and respect. It is vital to teach in a caring and kind fashion. It is important to work with the students not against them by critising. Encouraging the students is very important.In this lesson, I learned that course books have advantages and dis-advantages, and in this unit I learned to how get the best use of course books. Using authentic material can make students interested and motivated. In created materials the teacher can bring out his/her artistic side. An effective teacher should know if and when should the course books be replaced with authentic materials or created materials.
