Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The three areas of teaching a new language shown in this unit are those of vocabulary, grammar and functions. I have taken from this unit how important it is for students to be exposed to the language, understand the meaning of the words, phrases and sentences, understand how it is constructed eg root words and have ample opportunities to use it in different contexts and through different functions such as formal and informal use. This unit allows me to effectively learn simple techniques to perform with high efficiency, techniques which confer fundamental rules and emphases when to use each tense. Together with the element of time and action, our attitude is also important in determining the future tense. Future tenses are similar in many cases and require extra attention to building a proper foundation and assimilating the rules of grammar among students.
