EFL Teachers Wanted in North Sumatra, Indonesia

The International Education Centre in Medan North Sumatra is presently looking for creative, hardworking Native English Teachers in all of our 3 schools. We are one of the largest chains of language schools in Medan and have been in operation for over 9 years. Due to the continual growth of our school, additional teaching positions are being opened. We are looking for candidates who have completed a TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate course that included teaching practice. We prefer applicants to have at least one year’s experience, although we may waive this requirement for applicants who show clear promise. We offer excellent teacher support and opportunities for career development. As well as providing help in adjusting to life in Indonesia, we also offer free Indonesian Language classes.

If you love teaching, enjoy a challenge, are certified TEFL, TESOL or CELTA standard or equivalent, preferably with some experience, and can commit to a one year contract on a beautiful tropical island in South East Asia, we would like to hear from you.

Sumatra is home to one of the last remaining rainforests in the world. The largest Crater Lake in South East Asia is only hours from Medan, and whether you prefer short trips to the jungle or weekend getaways to the majestic mountain town of Brastagi, regular weekend trips are easily planned and very affordable!

Our students are mostly children, teenagers and young adults studying General English. However, we also offer adult communication classes, business classes and TOEFL, O Level and IELTS preparation courses. IEC has a comprehensive language resource library and a
computer room with up-to-date software. Teachers are also provided with comprehensive syllabuses for every course, but are encouraged to adapt them for their individual teaching style and their students' needs.
