Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Tenses, in my opinion, is one of the most confusing topics for students of different language origins. In real life situations, noting details such as tenses are the least of a speaker's worries. This however is the most common mistake of even the advanced level students, so it is our task to teach them the most basic and make them aware and help them in understanding the importance of tenses. There are four things the students need to do with the new language to be able to incorporate it; be exposed to it, understand its meaning, understand how it´s constructed and be able to practise and produce it. As teachers we are responsible for introducing both grammar and new vocabulary in a balanced way. This to ensure that the function of the new language becomes clear to the students.
