Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
I have learned all the different external examinations available for my students and who requires what certification which could be very useful in assisting my students once they have completed my course and wish to use English in their life. I have also learned all of the different examinations/tests that I can use to evaluate my students language ability, be it a placement test or a progress test.This unit was about the structure and usage of the four present tenses in English, common mistakes students make using them, and ideas for how to teach them to students. I learned the specific meanings of a lot of grammar terms I heard thrown around a lot during school but never really understood. The distinction that tense is determined by structure, not necessarily by usage was very helpful to me.
