Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit has shown me many different methods of teaching English language. The various methods have good and bad points to take note of for example - grammar translation which would require the teacher to have a good understanding of the students native language. ESA (engage, study and activate) is a method which combines all the positive aspects of the various methods into one flexible method. My biggest takeaway from this unit is that the challenge of pronouncing the word for a student should not be an issue. You are teaching the students the word and the meaning: that is the whole point. There are many different methods of bringing a student to understand a word. Challenging material should not be set aside because of \"complexity\". Rather, the challenge should be a teaching tool.
