Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit primarily discussed course materials. Though it is possible for teachers to base their instruction entirely on pre-existing materials, they should not do so; adhering rigidly to a pre-set curriculum is a recipe for disaster. Instead, teachers should take existing materials as inspiration and/or a guide. They should supplement these materials that shore up students' weaknesses and pertain to their interests.Phonetic script is not the easiest concept for myself to grasp but I understand it would be very useful for students new to English grasping how to pronounce words properly. Speech and pronunciation is very important aspect of teaching. Having a heavy dialect will not help students with learning. Teaching pronunciation of words slowly and clearly is essential as it will assist students with been better communicators.
