Small language school with a friendly, professional working environment. We seek a full-time teacher to teach 24 hours per week face-to-face from 03/01/2024 (late start accepted subject to negotiation) to 30/06/2024. Located in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Evora in southern Portugal, ESE ENGLISH offers communicative language training and Cambridge exam preparation for small groups of learners: children/youths from age 7 and some adults. Teaching schedule 6 days a week (afternoons/early evenings and Saturday mornings).
Qualifications
Applications invited from native-speaker-level, graduate, CELTA (or equivalent)-qualified teachers of English with a minimum of 2 years' experience, who are EU citizens or non-EU citizens with residence in Portugal (others will be considered: you must indicate what passport[s] you hold and how long you have been in the European Schengen area over the last 90 days). Knowledge of Portuguese (or other Latin languages) an advantage. We seek someone who is professional in their approach, adaptable, organised, creative and passionate about teaching.
Salary and Benefits
Freelance position with GUARANTEED FULL MONTHLY REMUNERATION for 24h/week during the contracted period January-June 2024. Remuneration 1,560 euros gross per month. Current timetable: Mon. 18.00-20.30, Tue. 16.30-20.30, Wed. 14.30-20.30, Thu. 16.30-20.30, Fri. 16.00-17.30, Sat. 09.15-12.05 plus 1.5 hours meetings. Easter holiday 29 March to 07 April. Accident insurance included. Own classroom with interactive whiteboard, traditional whiteboard, projector, laptop.
