Writing lesson plans should be purposeful and student centered. Having lengthy lesson plans could become rigid and not address the needs of each student. Having a structured schedule for both the delivery and the student individual work time is helpful when accomplishing the objective for the lesson. Engagement is key to a successful lesson and it can look a variety of different ways depending on the dynamics of the class.In Unit 1, I have learned that there is a direct correlation between a 'good' teacher' and 'good learner'. Being a motivating, caring, and sensitive teacher will reflect on the students success and enjoyment of learning the English language. Additionally, I find it most important being a positive and understanding role model towards all students that come from different levels of language in order for each student to grow.
