Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered the aspects that a good teacher and good learner should have. It taught me that the way you teach students is very important. There are different ways to approach different age categories, where post puberty kids are unmotivated, self conscious and unwilling to work with a new language, whereas preschoolers' have a short attention span but also have the ability to absorb a new language as they are more open minded.Choosing the right books and materials is important in teaching english. Course books have advantages and disadvantage to them, however they can be a great tool in the classroom. When using a course book the teacher can also be flexible and implement authentic or created materials. Using a mixture of both course books and materials enables the teacher to create effective, level appropriate activities which keep the students engaged.
