Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 3 deals with methods of teaching. There are various methods, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. One of the most effective methods is the “engage, study, and activate” method. There are different ways to implement this method; the most common are the straight arrow, boomerang, and patchwork lesson outlines. Providing feedback at the proper time is important as well.I have learnt the importance about planning lessons. Their functions as an aid, a working document, a record are very helpful to the teacher. Also I have learnt how a lesson plan should be written down. Flexibility and being organised are important to do well a lesson plan. Moreover I have learnt what should be included in a lesson plan such as learner objectives and personal aims among others.
